These are found in this latest book about mountain men. When Nate's former master sends men to recapture him, the brutality begins. Blackie, the slaver in charge of his capture, has his own agenda and has a special form of cruelty. He is relentless in his pursuit of Nate. Anyone associated with him, and any blacks he can find. Not only is there a $2000.00 bounty on Nate, that Blackie intends to collect, but he gets money for any number of blacks he takes to the south. In spite of all the horrors endured by Nate and the other mountain men, the Indians, innocent people, slaves and free men and women, the murders committed by the hunters, and other atkrocities, Nate and his companions never loose their humanity. As in the previous books, there is a lot of action, violence, and this book contains both child and sexual abuses. I gave the book a 5 star because of the content. As with the other books, there are grammatical errors. This seems to be inherent in all the books I read. No matter, it is a good book!Product details

Outstanding series
I am anxiously awaiting the next book. What great story lines and characters. The telling takes you there. You must read all three.
This book is more than a tale of revenge. Love and friendship, hatred and bigotry, slavery and the brutality of it, some men with fierce loyalty and others with no moral compass. In the end ... A mans relationship with his God is his power over the need for revenge.
Wish there was another dozen like this. This is one of those books that you can't put down. W.R. Benton has a way with words and will keep you engrossed from beginning to end. The Nate aGrrisham series is is a spell binding read. I am so thankful I am retired. I would get fired for sure. I highly recommend this book and all of W.R. Benton's work.
I really enjoyed this book these mountain men have Christian ethics and live life by their beliefs. This book moves fast and doesn't let the reader get bored. An action filled adventure.
This is not a inaccurate story in some aspects, I say "inaccurate", because the author shows that he/she has little real understanding of the way creatures, such as bear and other animals behave; I have yet to see a bear attack another animal or human, standing on it's hind legs, they like all other animals of the American contenent, attack on all four feet. There are several inaccurate situations depicted in this book that if corrected would improve the credibility of the story.
